Description
The Art Gallery of New Geneva is a quaint little gem in the heart of downtown Appomattox which endeavors to encourage your thoughts and lift your spirits through the blessings of the arts as God intended them to do. In addition to beautiful original local artwork on display, the gallery offers crafts and handiworks for your enjoyment and purchase. Classes, paint nights, lectures, musical events, and other activities occur throughout the year. The Art Gallery is open between March and mid December.

Our regular business hours for 2026 are: Thursdays 12-4; Fridays 12-5, and Saturdays 11-3
We are also open during special events and local community activities.

Stop by on our opening day of the year, and enjoy the local art and creative items on hand! Special activities now being planned! Visit our Facebook page for updates!

Stop in at the Art Gallery on Opening Day, Friday, March 20th, and be part of the fun!

– RAFFLE DRAWING! Buy a $1 raffle between 12 & 6pm, and you may win a basket full of art supplies including paints, brushes, paper, ink, pencils and more! You may purchase more than one raffle, and you don’t have to be present to win. Drawing will be determined soon after 6pm. Proceeds go to the ongoing work of the Art Gallery.

– ARTIST DEMO & CONVERSATION! Local Artist, Sharon Lester, will be demonstrating her unique painting style between 4 & 5pm. Enjoy watching and talking with her as she shares her beautiful, bold & bright color technique, creating a unique finish to her paintings. Her work has been classified as a modern folk-art style and is perfect to enjoy or purchase for the spring season!

– LOVELY LIVE MUSIC & complimentary refreshments! Between 4:30 & 6pm, you can enjoy live piano music and complimentary light refreshments. Our cafe bar area will also have soft drinks, wine & beer, along with other snacks, for purchase. We hope to see you!
