We more than survived, we thrived! 10 year anniversary of Appomattox’s Tornado
Ten years ago, an EF3 tornado swept through the communities of Appomattox County, Virginia leaving behind devastation that many of us will never forget.
But what stands out even more than the damage… is the way our community came together.
Neighbors showed up for neighbors. Churches opened their doors. Volunteers, first responders, families, and friends stood side by side to rebuild, restore, and encourage one another. In one of our hardest seasons, we witnessed incredible strength, faith, and unity.
On this 10th anniversary, we invite the entire community to join us as we gather for a special time of worship, thanksgiving, and remembrance.
Special guests will share encouraging words and testimonies as we reflect on how far we’ve come and how God carried us through.
Music will be provided by the Elder family, making this a meaningful and uplifting time together.
This commemorative event is open to everyone in our community. Whether you were directly impacted or were one of the many who stepped in to help, you are part of this story.
Let’s come together again, not in crisis, but in gratitude.
