National Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer is a vital part of our heritage. Since the first call to prayer in 1775, when the Continental Congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming our nation, the call has continued through history.
This year, the focus is “Pour Out To The God of Hope and Be Filled.
Local ministers will offer prayers surrounding our government, military, media, businesses, education, the church and the family.
The event will be held at the Gleaning For The World volunteer center on Thursday morning, with coffee and snacks available at 8:30, and the program starting at 9:00. We should finish up close to the eleven o’clock hour.
