Bald Eagle Hike

Mark your calendar: January 10th is National Save the Eagles Day! Join us for a 1.7 mile round-trip nature walk along Lakeshore Trail where we might observe the majestic bald eagles frequently spotted around Holliday Lake. Rangers will share all about eagles and the ecosystem around Holliday Lake. You won’t want to miss this extended guided hike along the lake including stops at several scenic overlooks.

Please allow 2.5 hours for this event as we will make frequent stops to observe wildlife. Remember your binoculars if you have them. Please wear good shoes for hiking dirt trails with occasional roots and hills. It will likely be cold, so please dress accordingly.

$7 parking fee applies.

You may register with the Park Office in order to be notified if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather, including temperatures below freezing and winter weather. To be notified, please leave your phone contact information with the Park Office at (434)-248-6308 or email [email protected].
