Appomattox County High School's Drama Club participates in competitions during the fall semester and hosts spring play productions during the second semester. The group of participants changes from show to show, with the majority never having been on stage. Drama Club is a place of self-expression and provides students with opportunities to take on leadership roles, strengthen communication and public speaking skills, gain the ability to accept constructive criticism, problem-solve, collaborate, and learn about culture and history. Observing students transition from a shy person walking the halls of the high school to a powerful performer on the stage is quite amazing.
