Appomattox Events

Many are drawn to Appomattox for its rich history and stay for its warmth and hospitality. A great way to get to know the town is to attend local events in Appomattox. History buffs will find re-enactments and special events at the National Historic Site throughout the year but especially in April, when the Civil War ended. Families love the three-day annual fall Appomattox Railroad Festival with its carnival rides, parade, arts and crafts fair, and food trucks filled with tempting treats.
