Baine’s Books and Coffee

Welcome to Baine's Books and Coffee. We are an independent, locally-owned, community bookstore and coffee shop located in the historic district of Appomattox, Virginia.  We have a unique collection of books, music, film, pottery, musical instruments, food, and drink that fit our community and region.  Our business strategy has been to build the store we would like to hang out in.  Now in our seventh year, it seems there must have been more of us out there than we thought.  Come listen to live music, drop by for lunch, or get us to search for a rare book for you.  If you live far away, you should know that Appomattox is a great little town to spend the weekend.
